Born in 1972, lives and works in Lyon, France.
The work of Pierre-Olivier Arnaud questions imagery, from its composition to its dissemination. He brings out its underlying structure by working on the frame, raster and chromatics. By superimposing interpretative frameworks in a subtle interplay between content and form, he makes representation shift towards patterns. He questions our habits in terms of reading visible material and renders the production tools and broadcasting channels of images tangible, stressing their reproducibility and fragility.
